Happy New Year!

All of the mercury glass I found at Home Goods.  Timer candles cast a glow through a couple in the evening and others have little fake green plants from Ikea.

Six mini succulent plants in wooden pots (from Cost Plus) are tucked in between bright green moss I've collected from hiking on local trails.  The silver striped candle sticks are from Christmas, purchased at Cost Plus and are held in pewter and brass candle stick holders from thrift stores.

The small table runner is made from rock tiles from Home Depot.

I purchased four tiles of rock from the hardware store and snipped off the plastic backing that showed around the edges of the rock.  The plastic backing is very sharp and literally sliced my fingers and hands.  I placed the rock tiles on a piece of white felt and trimmed it to the exact size, careful as not to stain it with the blood from all my cuts.

It'll probably take me through St. Patty's Day, and into Easter if I tuck a couple eggs in there (I found a bag of Pottery Barn decorative Easter eggs at the thrift store a few weeks ago).

Happy New Year and Merry January!
