Venus Fly Trap Art

I volunteered with my daughter's school last week. The topic was Georgia O'Keefe, inspired by a post from Deep Space Sparkle. The children drew designs with oil pastels (circles and swirls were encouraged), painted with a single color of liquid water color (like the ones I use here) and then cut out petal shapes from scrapbook paper. One student was suddenly inspired to nix the flower idea and instead make a Venus Fly Trap:

I love me some Venus Fly Traps and was giddy with excitment as I watched the artist at work. Two additional artists were also inspired to design their own Venus Fly Trap (my daughter included):
